Doctor Emily

Doctor EmilyDr. Emily Coatney-Smith grew up in Centerville, where she graduated from Centerville High School in 1987. Dr. Emily went on to study Zoology at Michigan State University, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science. In 1991 Dr. Emily was accepted at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and in 1995 she graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She currently practices companion animal medicine at Far Hills Animal Clinic, where she focuses on soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Emily is a member of the Miami Valley Veterinary Medical Association, the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

In her spare time, Dr. Emily enjoys running, coaching soccer, and cycling. She has two dogs (Chase & Izzie), five cats (Rico, Peyton, Wookie, Messi, and Bella), and a bearded dragon named Bob.


Doctor Adam

Doctor AdamDr. Adam Coatney-Schuler attended The Ohio State University for both his undergraduate and graduate degrees. He is certified by the State of Ohio to practice veterinary medicine and is a member of the Miami Valley Veterinary Medical Association, the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Adam practices companion animal medicine at Far Hills Animal Clinic with a focus on ultrasonography.

In his spare time, Dr. Adam runs marathons and tends a large organic vegetable garden.

Dr. Adam has a wimpy Doberman and two ornery cats, all of whom pride themselves on being incredibly spoiled.


Doctor Lesley

Doctor LesleyDr. Lesley Shaffer is originally from Granville, Ohio. She attended The Ohio State University after high school, and graduated in 1997 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She has been practicing small animal medicine in Dayton since 1998, and her special interest is in surgery.

Dr. Lesley belongs to the American, Ohio, and Miami Valley Veterinary Medicial Associations.

In her free time she enjoys cycling, scuba, and almost any outdoor activity. She is also very active in ballroom dancing. Her English setter, Nick, is an incredibly sweet and smart trouble-maker, while her Chihuahua Miss Lilian (“Lily”), on the other hand, is a total angel. Despite their differences, she completely adores them both.
